Benefits of registering on the forum

If you have not yet registered on the forum, you may be interested in hearing about these advantages:

"Following" a thread: this means setting your profile preferences to allow the system to notify you by email when a new post is added to the thread.

When logging in as a user, you will see at a glance which topic area have new posts, as they have a yellow-colored icon next to them. This is not visible to "guest" viewers.

Worth adding that registering does not require the disclosure of any personal information, nor does posting. "Guests" wishing to maintain anonymity can continue to do so while gaining the benefits of being registered users.

Thank you, Isan, that is a very important point. No one is obliged to give any personal information whatsoever. It is also completely acceptable to post under a name of your choosing; there is no requirement to use your real name although some do.
