Cheers, Ian For a second I thought you were going to say "never having to say you're sorry" LOL. Hope you had a nice day. I didn't get socks this time, but I was given a scarf, which is kind of a neck sock. Cheers!

| I think I have this covered:
2K years ago the Virgin Mary gave birth to a son and, lo, he was named Santa. He died on the cross that he may bring us toys on a sled (with some flying deer-things).

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas x Would've been worse if you'd gotten a single sock... ...unless it was a neck sock...

| Glorfindel If you wanna mess with the history of some minor eastern deity, that's your business but it seems a tad unmanly to be dissin Santa after accepting his presents. PS Gift exchange. If Santa brought anyone a single plaid blue & red golf sock, let me know if you want it's mate. | |

| Howard, I completely, wholeheartedly, unequivocally agree with you about Glorfindel's diss on Santa. But what's even worse is calling the eight tiny reindeer "flying deer-things." Oh, my goodness, I'm shocked and appalled. He's a reprobate for sure.
I've been to Santa's home town, zip code 99705, and I've seen reindeer and candy canes and fire engines that are painted red and green.
Flying deer-things, Glorfindel? They have names and they deserve respect.
Yours sincerely, mokuan

| To Howard, Mokuan and any other members of the Pro Santa Lobby: The evil god Santa and his snivelling ungulates deserve all the contempt we can muster. The Santa-lie is all about destroying children's belief in magic. The setting up of a magical paradigm and the inevitable smashing of it 4, 8 or 10 years later is specifically designed to eradicate faith in things of a magical nature. Santa vanquishes belief in real things (like the Faeries). I attribute most of civilisations problems to the terrible heartbreak that all children are subjected to as the beautiful santa-myth collapses around them. If you see santa flying around, spreading his poisonous gift-seeds, kill him. | |

Such violence! I prefer: Where Santa is do not linger, where Santa is not move on quickly....
