Hi folks:

I'm a banjo picker and I like to "cyberjam" with folks. Here are a couple of examples ... the videos are not the greatest in production values eek I was a lot more interested in the music. If anyone would like to connect and bang out a few tunes, let me know.

... both done with permission.

Cheers,
Ian

Very nice, Ian, how fun.

I'm told we do have some musicians on the forum, in fact I believe there is one pianist, at least. And I understand he plays the recorder also, although I haven't heard evidence of any of it. It could be idle boasting, you know, about the recorder Razz

I've actually connected with musicians all over the planet and have had the wonderful opportunity to play with many of them. Here's an example of a jam I did with a couple of young Japanese Shamisen players, the Yoshida Brothers ... a bit hard to hear the 5-string banjo just because the shamisen has a very similar tone ... probably best listened to through headphones.

Wow, you're going to love this. The first video of the Playing for Change series began in New Orleans - just one guy singing Stand By Me. The producer took it all over the world and played it for other musicians who added on additional voice and instrument tracks. Eventually they did four or five more.
