Drinks, glorious drinks!

hi Carol -- I was tickled to see your comment about a pomegranate martini recipe because I had meant to post one ages ago, and kept forgetting. Thank you for the reminder.

I love this one - light and refreshing. It's a pretty drink to serve at the holidays (not that that helps anybody for the season just past).

Some people prefer it without the lemon juice but I find it really adds something -

Pomegranate Martini


Makes 1 cocktail.




2 fluid oz. citron vodka
1 fluid oz. Cointreau or other
orange liqueur
2 fluid oz. pomegranate juice
½ fluid ounce lemon juice

1. Pour the vodka, Cointreau, pomegranate juice, and lemon
   juice into a cocktail shaker over ice. Cover, and shake until the outside
   of the shaker has frosted. Strain into a chilled martini glass to serve.
