Wow--I remember Kinsei well--he was in charge of the garden at Shasta Abbey and I spent many a work period double digging garden beds, making tomato cages and turning compost under his direction. Good for him!!

I went to the installation of Rev. Meian in fall and saw Roshi Hogetsu, who is now in lay life. When she was a monk and I was at the Abbey in the 80's, we used to talk about a mutual love of backpacking. It was great to have the continuity of seeing her after all of those years.

My wife, Jeanette, and I were good friends with Hogetsu, knew her from Eugene Priory days and after. She was at our wedding. Are you able to say where she has located and her present circumstances without violating privacy?
