I hope Mark went for a good walk in the hills, somewhere adventurous, maybe got lost for a bit, then found himself in a pub for a good dinner and drinks
Happy birthday, Mark!

Many thanks to all. The bath chairs brought a grin - but unfortunately they are all too close to the mark. I had a fall whilst on holiday in Dorset and cracked my hip. They succesfully pinned it on Friday and I returned home Tuesday just in time for my birthday. Still a few weeks rehab and crutches I fear. Though Stan if your volunteering to pull my bath chair that would be great help!

To mash Dillon Thomas' Fern Hill:
Now, as I was young and easy under the apple boughs .... Time held me green and dying Though I sang in my chains like the sea.

Hi Mark, Just got round to Dillon Thomas` Fern Hill eology to lost youth/ Arcadia. I thought it might be like his `Do not go gentle into that good night` which always makes me groan. This was such a pleasant surprise...what wonderful use of imagery ! the man`s a master of his craft, that`s for sure. I liked how all the verses were `land` related until the very last word...seemingly out of context..." the sea". Pity that he seems to interpret things as a lament or loss though. never noticed what was permanent and under his nose......
